Examples Of Representation

Sleepless In Seattle

Annie can also be seen as a stereotypical 30-something woman. At the beginning of the film you see her getting engaged to Walter. The audience can see instantly tell that their relationship is wrong, but they are of the naive impression that they are happy. It is clear she is not in a happy relationship. When Annie listens to the radio she gets caught up in the drama of a mysterious man on the radio and listens to him talk about how much he misses his wife. Annie would like a sensitive, caring man like this. When they finally meet it is clear that Sam is a much more perfect match for her and their inevitable meeting on top of the Empire State Building on Valentine’s Day provides her with the romance she wants.
