Bridget Jones is a single woman living in London. She can be seen as the stereotypical 30-year-old woman. She is a successful, with a good job but she is someone who does not want to be single. When her personal life goes wrong, she can be seen to be on the sofa, drinking, smoking and watching romantic films. She also has stereotypical worries, such as her weight, alcohol and cigarette consumption and the opposite sex. However, her ongoing dialogue with herself, also reveals a stronger side to her personality.
